Hey y'all! I'm LaVon, the owner of Memories Captured by LaVon!

I am many things. First, I am a Child of God, a Wife, a Mother, a Certified Nurse Aide, and a Photographer. I am a native to a little town in Michigan called Allegan. My husband and I have been married since 2016 and we have two crazy kiddos, who keep our life very busy and fulfilled.

I love to be involved with my church by volunteering, leading worship, and attending bible studies with my life group. Among other things, I enjoy crocheting, walking, doing outdoor activities, traveling, sketching, and playing with my children. (I truly do love playtime) I'm also obsessed with the color purple. (Just in case you couldn't tell) 

-What got me started in Photography?

I have been a professional photographer since September of 2019. My love for photography though began as a little girl, where I had to use disposable cameras that may or may not take the picture. Time sure has changed! 

I was gifted a camera the year of 2016 and that opened up so many opportunities. I started by taking pictures of my kids and the landscapes around me. I loved capturing my family so much I decided to take a huge leap of faith and start my business. Since then, I have met some amazing people who are just like me, trying to survive in this crazy world. I love meeting new people, getting to know them, and then looking back on how much they have grown/changed. Looking back on pictures helps bring back those moments in time. It feels good to have something to cling to, to remember. That is why it is so important to me that I capture the memories in my life as well as the lives of my clients.

It is a privilege and an honor to be selected to capture my client's journey in life! I look forward to many more years of capturing memories and changing lives!
