Hey y'all! I'm LaVon, the owner of Memories Captured by LaVon!

I am many things. I am a Child of God, a Mother of 2, a CubScout Leader for Pack 3026, and a Photographer. I am a native to a little town in Michigan called Allegan.

I love to be involved with my church by volunteering, leading worship, and attending bible studies with my life group, volunteering at my kids school, and being a Cub Scout Leader. Among other things, I enjoy crocheting, walking, camping, traveling, going to the gym, reading and playing with my children. (I truly do love playtime) I'm also obsessed with the color purple. (Just in case you couldn't tell) 

-What got me started in Photography?

I have been a professional photographer since September of 2019. My love for photography though began as a little girl, where I had to use disposable cameras that may or may not take the picture. Time sure has changed! 

My amazing parents gifted me a camera in 2016, and that opened up so many opportunities. I started by taking pictures of my kids and the landscapes around me. I loved capturing my family so much I decided to take a huge leap of faith and start my business in September of 2019. Since then, I have met some amazing people who are just like me, trying to survive in this crazy world. I love meeting new people, getting to know them, and then looking back on how much they have grown/changed. Looking back on pictures helps bring back those moments in time. It feels good to have something to cling onto. That is why it is so important to me that I capture the memories in my life as well as the lives of my clients.

It is a privilege and an honor to be selected to capture my client's journey in life! I look forward to many more years of capturing memories and changing lives!
